Injection of Botulinum Toxin for wrinkle reduction does unfortunately have some potential side-effects. They are typically minor in nature, and do not persist. The most common issues include minor bruising at the injection sites, flu-like symptoms, and some initial injection discomfort. Mild headache can be eased with simple paracetamol.
Initial results start at day 4-5 post injection but the full optimum result typically is seen at 2 weeks. At 2 weeks we offer a review appointment.
Injection of Botulinum Toxin for wrinkle reduction will last commonly for 3-4 months. Results do vary between individuals. After 4 months, we at Dermaesthetics Clinic offer re-treatment at 4 months.
