The skin is cleansed and the prep solution is applied prior to treatment. A highly controlled flow of medical grade crystals is then passed over the skin using a hand held device. These crystals, delivered at high velocity directly onto the skin’s surface are immediately vacuumed away, taking the top-most layer of dead skin cells with it. This mechanical exfoliation process improves both the tone and texture of the skin and also reveals the new, living skin cells that are soft and smooth. At the same time the underlying epidermis is also stimulated by the treatment, promoting new collagen, thickening the dermis and improving the resistance to the effects of ageing. After the procedure, the treatment will finish with the application of anti-oxidant moisturiser and SPF 30 to hydrate and provide sun protection for your skin.

The vacuum capacity used in CrystalMircrodermabrasion is significantly stronger than what is used during a standard microdermabrasion treatment, therefore providing much deeper penetration on the skin’s surface and guaranteeing better overall results.

Crystal Microdermabrasion is a non – invasive, painless procedure, although you may experience slight discomfort for a short time as the aluminium crystals are delivered at high velocity directly onto the skin’s surface. However, the controls of the hand – held device and vacuum capacity are flexible, so you can opt for a less intense treatment.

After having your Crystal Microdermabrasion treatment you may experience slight redness in the first 48 hours. Some customers, dependent on skin type may experience slight shedding but this is a natural side effect and nothing to be worried about. We recommend customers to avoid heavy make-up (or if desire can use mineral make-up witch will not interact with the treatment), heat treatments such as saunas, sun beds, hot baths and vigorous exercise 24 hours after having treatment.

We recommend that you book the course of six Microdermabrasion treatments, to have every 7 to 10 days and then maintain top-up treatments every fourweeks. Due to the incredible results, customers often want to continue having treatments, so a maintenance treatment will be booked every 4 weeks. Your therapist will recommend products to use at home to enhance your results.
